My family and I had been dreaming of taking a sailing vacation in Turkey for years. We love being on the water and thought renting a traditional Turkish wooden sailboat called a gulet would be such a unique way to explore the beautiful coastline and islands around Bodrum.
After lots of research online, we kept coming back to one company called Charter Bodrum. They had a really nice website with tons of photos of their boats and destinations. Their rates seemed very reasonable too. Best of all, they had great reviews everywhere from Trustpilot to Google. It seemed like Charter Bodrum would be our best option for a Gulet rental Bodrum.

I shot them an email with some dates we were thinking of traveling and questions about what kind of boat would suit our group size and budget. Their response was super quick! The agent we corresponded with was so friendly and helpful. She provided lots of details about the different boats in their fleet and even made some recommendations based on our needs.
We ended up booking a week on one of their mid-sized traditional gulets called the Merve Feraye that could sleep 12 people comfortably. From the moment we stepped on board our Gulet rental Bodrum, we were blown away. The boat was immaculately clean and felt very homey. Our amazing crew of three really made us feel welcome. Over the next week, they cooked delicious homemade Turkish meals, took excellent care of the boat, and gave us tips about all the beautiful places we visited.
We anchored in over a dozen bays and coves around Bodrum like Cennet, Myndos, and Aquarium Bay. The crystal clear turquoise water was straight out of a postcard. We went swimming at almost every stop and my kids had a blast playing on the little beaches. One of our favorite activities was fishing off the back of the boat in the evenings. We even caught a few!
In the afternoons when it got too hot, we’d relax in the shade on deck with a cold drink. At night, we’d eat dinner under the stars and play cards by lantern light. I have to say, l think relaxing on our Gulet rental Bodrum might have been the highlight of the whole trip! The slow pace of life on the water was so rejuvenating.
We also ventured to some of the nearby islands like Kos, Symi, and Kisebuku for day trips. Charter Bodrum’s boats are spacious enough that the journey didn’t feel long at all. Getting to explore those beautiful Greek islands just added to the magic of our vacation. The scenery and historic ruins we saw took my breath away.

From start to finish, working with Charter Bodrum was an absolute dream. They were so knowledgeable and helpful in the planning phases. Our amazing crew really went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable and memorable time aboard our Gulet rental Bodrum. At the end of the week, we were all sad to leave the Merve Feraye and her crew!
I would 100% recommend Charter Bodrum to anyone looking to experience Turkey’s Turquoise Coast in a unique and luxurious way. Beating out all the big resorts, renting a boat through them was hands down the best vacation my family has ever taken. We’re already talking about going back to Bodrum and doing another week-long charter with them in the future!
